CEDAR GREEN MIDNIGHT BLUE

Blue is a refined looking little doe with a nice brisket, a level top line and nice escutcheon. She has blue eyes and is a Jim Beam daughter who has dramatically improved teat size, udder capacity and rear width in his daughters. Jim’s dam is Furthur Kentucky Rye, who won Reserve Champion in the East Nationals in 2018. Kentucky Rye has a stellar mammary, and beautiful conformation. Unfortunately Blue’s dam, Cedar Green Poppy, developed severe milk fever right after kidding triplets and she lost her milk supply completely. I was unable to get pictures or capacity of her udder, and then I sold her, later that year. Blue is the most personable doe we have and we are looking forward to seeing how she develops.

CEDAR GREEN MEADOW ROSE

Rose is one of the best does to be born on our farm. As a first freshener she produced 1.8lb of milk in an 12 hour hold at 6 weeks fresh. Her teat size is excellent for hand milking. She milks out quickly and easily. She has good longevity of production, and I am still milking her 9 months later. She has lovely conformation with a nice, level top line, good brisket and depth of chest. She has a wide escutcheon and good rear and fore attachments. I think she will be a powerhouse producer for me this freshening! She has clearly taken her dam Pearl’s conformation and her sire Jim’s genetics for both capacity and teat size. Jim’s dam is Furthur Kentucky Rye, who won Reserve Champion in the East Nationals in 2018. She has a stellar mammary, and beautiful conformation. CEDAR GREEN CARAMEL

Caramel is the second Jim Beam daughter to freshen with such an astounding improvement in udder capacity and teat placement that we can’t help notice the traits Jim is clearly passing on. Caramel produced over 1.4 lb of milk in a 12 hour hold at 6 weeks as a first freshener and so I expect even better things this kidding. She has a lovely wide escutcheon, the largest teats of all my does with the largest orifaces, and milks out fastest. She has good high rear attachments and good front attachments. Jim’s dam is Furthur Kentucky Rye, who won Reserve Champion in the East Nationals in 2018. She has a stellar mammary, and beautiful conformation. CEDAR GREEN KC ROSEMARY

ROSEMARY is a daughter to Cedar Green Meadow Rose, our top doe to date. Rose produced 1.5L in one 12 hour hold feeding triplets at 6 weeks fresh in her first freshening. She’s a dream to milk. She’s also very correct in her conformation with a lovely deep chest, level top line, and good brisket. She has strong rear and front attachments, and a wide escutcheon. Jim’s dam is Furthur Kentucky Rye, who won Reserve Champion in the East Nationals in 2018. She has a stelllar mammary. Rosemary is a sturdy little goat with a good width between the thurls and a wide escutcheon. Rosemary’s sire is Potting Shed King Crab and this will be his first daughter to freshen for me. We are excited to see how Rosemary develops. Udder pix to come!

Her sire is Oakley who is backed with lovely dairy genetics so we have high hopes for a lovely dairy doe out of Rain. She’s got a lovely long, level top line and a nice brisket. Annie freshed this year, as a first freshener, with a huge improvement on capacity over her dam, nice wide teats that milk out quickly, and a good rear attachment and a smooth fore attachment. At 6 weeks she is milking almost 1.5L a day. Annie is polled. Annie placed first in her class in the online Chilliwack Fair in 2020.

Jim’s dam is Furthur Kentucky Rye, who won Reserve Champion in the East Nationals in 2018. She has a stellar mammary, and beautiful conformation. Opal freshened this year with a lovely first freshened mammary. She has a nice rear attachment, smooth fores, a nice medial and milks out beautifully. At 4 weeks she is producing 1.5L a day which is significantly more than her dam did as a ff and a great start.
